Legal Services
Solving Problems Through Planning. Our attorneys strongly believe that the best strategy for legal problems is to intelligently plan to avoid them in the first place. Thus, we help businesses choose the form of entity to last limit their liability and minimize their taxes. We draft agreements between owners. We negotiate and draft contracts with businesses, key employees, customers and vendors which avoid disputes. We negotiated draft partnership agreements. We handle employee relations and human resources planning. Likewise, we assist people in estate and elder care planning, to ensure our clients can pass their assets to their loved ones and obtain the care they need, all while avoiding tax liabilities to the greatest extent legally possible.
Solving Problems Through Negotiations. When disputes do arise, we believe that it is better to resolve them through negotiated settlements, since these involve shorter time frames and less expense. Our attorneys have significant experience in this area and, indeed, the Superior Court of New Jersey has appointed Maurice McLaughlin as a mediator to resolve many cases there.
Solving Problems Through Litigation. When problems cannot be avoided or resolved through negotiations, our lawyers have decades of litigation experience. We represent people and businesses on a wide range of issues, both when they are forced to sue to vindicate their rights, or when they are being sued. We fight aggressively to protect our clients’ rights.
Solving Problems Through Other Legal Services. We also offer a wide range of other legal services which do not involve litigation or negotiations. For instance, we help people find relief from their debts through Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcy protection. We help productive citizens clear their records by pursuing expungement of their criminal convictions. We file construction liens for unpaid contractors.
